Cable Beach lies on the western shore of Broome, and boasts 22.5 km of white sand beach. Cable Beach takes its name from the telegraph cable that was laid between Broome and Java in 1889 and today it provides the perfect location to enjoy the magnificent Broome sunsets. Cable beach is one of the most visited beaches in the dry seasons and attractions more than 15,000 visitors each year.
