Cobar - a city in the northwest New Southern Wales. It is located in 711 km (442 miles) to the northwest from Sydney. It is territorially located on an eastern frontier of uninhabited districts. In 2006 lived 4918 persons. The festival of the Phantom of the Miners, passing during last week end in October, is the festival celebrating alcohol of old miners. The mining industry which has arisen during an epoch of a gold-rush is widely developed.
