Como - suburb in southern Sydney. It is located in 27 kilometres to the south from Sydney. Has prevailed the name from lake Como in the Alpes Italy. The first school has opened in 1881, the post office has opened in May 1883. The original single-track bridge of railway Como on the River Georgs has begun service with opening of railway station in Como on December, 26th 1885. Como became a popular resort with the natural beauty involving having a rest. In 1972, the new bridge of the railway of a double-track way has been opened to remove a bottleneck which reduced transmittivity of transport. The original railway bridge has been transformed since then to the foot bridge for pedestrians and bicyclists. In 1994 in a city there was a strong fire. Many buildings have been in full or in part destroyed.
