Coonabarabran - a city in the northwest New Southern Wales. In 2006 lived 2609 persons. The small town is located approximately halfway between Melbourn and Brisbane and can be reached approximately for 6 hours by the car from Sydney. There are some motels, hotels and parking for trailers of travellers. There are 2 Chinese restaurants. The golf club is opened. The main feature of a city - City Hours which are located in the middle of a city on crossing of streets of John and Dalgarno. Coonabarabran - the closest city to the English-Australian Telescope on 3.9 m, to the greatest optical telescope in Australia, located on the Adjoining Spring Mountain. There is a small radio station. This station broadcasts with the limited distance of a broadcast because of a hilly landscape. There are 3 schools: younger, average, senior. The senior school is Catholic. Being a small country town, Coonabarabran has two main shopping centres, plus a fast food and a pizzeria. There is a local bakery.

From July, 6 till July, 14th in Pamplona is celebrated a holiday, devoted to St. Fermin, bishop living in ХIII century, who rescued Pamplona from plague epidemic. Being first purely religious, later the holiday has turned in colourful national celebrations.
