Darwin — capital and the most occupied city of Northern Australia. The natives occupying territory before the European colonisation did business Southeast Asia, Southern and Western Australia. In 17 century the first cards of territory were made by Dutches, from here and the Dutch names of some places. The lieutenant of a research vessel Bigl John Lort Stoks in 1839 was the first British, seen harbour of Darwin. Opening of deposits of gold in Pajn-shout in 1880 promoted the accelerated development of a young colony. In 1911 the name Darwin became the official name of a city. Its affinity to Asia does it by the important Australian collars to the countries, such as Indonesia and East Timor. Now in a city the mining industry and power are developed. Gold, zinc, manganese and other minerals are extracted. The city also gets the increasing popularity as a resort. The considerable share of the population is occupied with military men.
