Kings cross - suburb of Sydney. It is located approximately in 2 km to the east from Sydney. After the European settlement in 1788 the number of aboriginals has been knocked down by smallpox flash in 1791 and ecology infringement that has affected to disappearance of traditional sources of food. In the beginning of 19th century the area was one of the most prestigious suburbs of Sydney, being enough far from city vanity. Since 1960 the city became known enough vacation spot and has started to grow. The area became known as a quarter of red lanterns of Sydney. The area was in the power of bars, restaurants, night clubs. Long time all in a city knew about police and organised crime communications. Drug traffic, in particular heroin sale has developed. Now in a city also not all is good, but former scales of criminality are not present.
