New Norfolk is a city on the river of Derwent, in the southeast of Tasmania. It is in 35 km to the northwest from Hobart. The first обиататели cities moved from Norfolk island in 1808. In 1818 the first road connecting a city with Hobart has been constructed; the first railway has been constructed in 1887. Within 40th years of 20th century the newsprint factory has been established in next Bojere, raising the industry in the limited area. Within several years after 1848 New Norfolk was a place of exile of Irish nationalist leader Terensa Makmanusa, its house has still remained. Later the rebel of Irish supporting it William Smith O' Braian has joined it.
