Wagga Wagga is a city in the New Southern Wales. A city - the important agricultural, military, educational and transport knot of Australia. The city is located halfway between two greatest cities in Australia, Sydney and Melbourn. In 1829 Charlie Shurt became the first European researcher who has visited territory of the future city. In 1849 on its place there was a village. In its 1870 recognised as municipality. In 1946 Wagga Wagga has been declared by a city and began to develop on the south. The city is protected from flooding by a dam. A city - large military garrison. The dairy industry is developed. Bus transport works basically except the days off. There is a taxi. Through centre Wagga Wagga passes highway. Railway station Wagga Wagga is located on Sydney-Melbourn a railroad line. Airport Wagga Wagga carries out a daily air communication with Melbourn and Sydney. In a city it is popular Rugby football. Also football, cricket, tennis are a success. This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
