Australia is located in the Southern Hemisphere. It is six-largest country in the world. The country includes the whole continent, with Australian mainland and some islands. The biggest of them is Tasmania.
The government form is federative constitutional monarchy; the head of state is Queen of Great Britain.
Average temperature varies from +20 °С to +24 °С in summer and -6 °С in winter. In Australian Alps temperature can fall to -22 °С.
Australia is a country with highly developed free market economy. Its base sectors are mining, metalurgy, chemical industry and export of agricultural production. Also bank system, cinema industry and tourism are highly developed.
The main resorts are Townsville and Tueumba. In Golden Coast there are many casinos, the Sea park. This place has excellent conditions for different kinds of recreation.
In Sydney you can visit Australian Museum and Nicholson Museum of Antiquity. Adelaida is famous as a place where Formula One races take place every year on Australian Grand-Prix. Also St. Paul’s Cathedral and Francis Xavier’s catholic Cathedral are located here.
