The Republic of Azerbaijan is located in the eastern part of Transcaucasia, on the Caspian Sea coast. It is bordered by Dagestan, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, and Turkey. The country is one of the largest in Transcaucasia. The head of state is president.
Average temperature in the table land is +15 °С and about 0 °С in mountains.
The country is both agrarian and industrial. Oil-processing and oil-producing are the base parts of industrial sector.
There are many wildlife and nature preserves like Gizil-Agach national park and Hirkan park, that is 13 million years old.
Itchen-Sheker is also a cultural national park with a Maiden Tower. Blue Mosque (1465) in Tebriz is a great place of interest like many other theatres and museums in this city.
In Kuba there is Sakin-Khanum, in Ordubade there are many museums and theatres. Muslim religious complex Get-Imam(XIV-XVII) is located in Ganja.
Azerbaijani resorts are famous for their brine wells like Sirab, Jimmy, Turshsu and Slavyanka.
