The Сommonwealth of the Bahamas consists of 700 islands from which only on 30 are inhabited. Islands are located in Atlantic Ocean between Florida and Haiti. The largest islands of archipelago are Abacos, Acleans, Bery, Paradise, Grandee Bagama, Inagua and San Salvador. The capital Nassau is on the New Providence Island.
Climate is subtropical and tropical. The season of rains passes from May till October though it is not expressed brightly. From West coast the islands are washed by Gulf Stream and from the southeast part the warm winds constantly blow, so the temperature is very high (in the winter it’s about +15 °С, and in the summer it’s 32 °С).
The Bahamas are the part of British Commonwealth but it is independent state.
On island New Providence there's never a dull moment for tourists. They are welcome visitors in shops, markets with an abundance of souvenirs, and numerous night restaurants, bars, cabarets and casinos.
Tourists often go diving, fishing and yachting.
