The country is located in southwest Asia on the coast of Persian Gulf. 32 islands affiliate Bahrain. Government form is constitutional monarchy.
Average temperature in January is around +16 °С, in July it’s +37 °С. From November till March lasts a period of fresh nights and warm days.
Oil processing and oil production are the main parts of Bahrain’s economy. This country is international financial center of Middle East and Far East. There are lots of banks and offices here. Telecommunication system and tourism are also highly developed.
Main places of interest are “Portugal Fort” Khalat Al-Bahrain, Al-Khamis Mosque (925 PE), St. Christopher’s Cathedral, National Museum, Pearls Museum and also Ritz-Carlton, considered the best hotel complex.
Riding camels, sand skiing, auto-tours through deserts, fishing and diving are main tourists’ ways of spending their time. Nature’s beauties and rich sea world create favorable conditions for vacation in this unusual country.

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
