Charleroi (Walloon: Tchålerwè) is the largest city and municipality of Wallonia, located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. On January 1, 2006, Charleroi had a total population of 201,300. The agglomeration has a population of around 500,000 inhabitants, which makes it the fifth largest agglomeration of the country. The inhabitants are called Carolorégiens or simply Carolos. The municipality features an industrial area, iron and steel industry, glassworks, chemicals, and electrical engineering. Charleroi is in the center of a vast coal basin, called Pays noir. Many slag heaps still surround the city. Charleroi is also known for its publishing industry with Dupuis, one of the main publishers of Franco-Belgian comics, located in Marcinelle.

From July, 6 till July, 14th in Pamplona is celebrated a holiday, devoted to St. Fermin, bishop living in ХIII century, who rescued Pamplona from plague epidemic. Being first purely religious, later the holiday has turned in colourful national celebrations.
