Bosnia is the wooded and mountain place in its northern part and in the southern part there are flat plains of Herzegovina. Bosnia and Herzegovina was found in 12th century as the Bosnian princedom. In 1991, after the military conflict and civil wars it became the independent state (before that it was a part of Yugoslavia). Bosnia and Herzegovina is located in the Southeast Europe on the Balkan Peninsula. Climate is moderate continental. In winter temperature fluctuates from 0 to -7 °С and in summer it’s from +16 to +25 °С. Bosnia and Herzegovina is the world mountain-skiing center. The reason for it is essentially the large number of mountains. The winter Olympic Games which were passing in 1984 in Sarajevo promoted the development of mountain skiing. In the country there are a lot of architecture monuments. Basically they are churches and the mosques which have remained since the times of Byzantine and Osmani periods. Also tourists are attracted by numerous picturesque karst caves on Dinar uplands.
