Brazil is the biggest state on the continent of South America. From the western part Brazil is washed by the waters of Atlantic Ocean.
The climate is manifold, varies from equatorial to the subtropical. In January the temperature reaches a point of + 27 °С, and falls to +16 °С in summer. Brazil is a federal republic in which the head is the president. The country is divided into 22 administrative states, four federal territories and one federal district.
On the territory of Brazil goes the extraction of manganese, iron ore and chlorine. The heavy industry is developed. Its production is exported to other countries.
More than 40 percent of the population works in agriculture. On the lands of Brazil cereals, vegetables, fruits, coffee and sugar cane are grown. The animal industries specialize on the cultivation of cattle.
The city of Rio de Janeiro is in the lead on sights in all Brazil. Here there is a huge statue of the Christ and near the bay there is a Pau-di-Asukar rock with a ropeway.
The main natural sight of Brazil is the river Amazon; it is the deepest river in the world.
