Brunei Darussalam is located in Southeast Asia, on the western coast of Borneo. It is washed by the South-Chinese Sea from the North. The head of state is a sultan. Most part of territory is lowland. Also there are tropical forests with luxuriant vegetation. It is rich industrial country with good quality of life. Oil production and liquid gas fuel extraction are the foundations of economy.
Water transport is the main vehicle.
In Brunei people strictly abide by the Islamic laws. Fleshpots and night clubs are prohibited. Also they don’t sell alcohol at all.
Main places of interest are concentrated in capital. One of the most beautiful mosques of the east is a Mosque of Omar Ali Saifuddin. Istana Narul Iman is the largest palace in the world. In this palace there are rare examples of automobiles, some of them are unique. Jerudong Park arena is under the personal patronage of sultan. You have to have a personal invitation of one of the club members to visit it.
Main national parks are Ulu-Teburong, Sungai-Liang, Anduki-Jubility.
