The kingdom of Cambodia is situated in the Southeast Asia on the Indochina peninsula. Bordered by Thailand, Laos, Vietnam. Cambodian lowland takes the most part of state’s territory.
Cambodia is a constitutional monarchy; the head of state is a king.
This is agrarian country, where 85 percent of population is occupied in agriculture. They grow rice, sugar palm, legumes, cotton and oil-plants.
Average temperature is near 26 - 30 °С. Winter is basically dry and in summer it often rains.
One of the most famous Cambodian sights is a capital of ancient Khmer state of IX centuries – Angkor. It is a complex of beautiful temples and palaces. In Pnompenh there is a museum of Buddhist institute with a collection of Khmers’ civilization’s items and King’s palace.
Sihanoukville is famous resort. Its coast is beautiful because of uninhabited islands that can be seen from it. Not far from this town is situated Ream National Park. Beaches, ancient temples, rivers and wonderful nature of Cambodia make amazing impression on tourists.
