Montebello is a municipality located in the Papineau Regional County Municipality of Western Quebec (Canada). As of the 2001 census, there were 1,039 permanent residents. The village has a total area of 7.85 km²> (3 mi²), and is located at the eastern edge of Canada's National Capital Region. Non-native settlement of the area began in the early 19th century when land was purchased by the family of Louis-Joseph Papineau. Later, Louis-Joseph Papineau built the Manor of Montebello which is preserved by Parks Canada as the Manoir Papineau National Historic Site. The village is world famous for the Château Montebello resort, the largest log structure ever built. The resort was the host for the 1983 NATO Nuclear Planning Group, and the 1981 G7 Economic Summit.

From July, 6 till July, 14th in Pamplona is celebrated a holiday, devoted to St. Fermin, bishop living in ХIII century, who rescued Pamplona from plague epidemic. Being first purely religious, later the holiday has turned in colourful national celebrations.
