Zhuji

Zhuji (traditional Chinese: 諸暨; simplified Chinese: 诸暨; pinyin: Zhūjì) is a city south of Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province in the People's Republic of China. The region around Zhuji has been settled since Neolithic times and was the origin of the Yuyue culture. During the Spring and Autumn Period, it was the birthplace of the legendary beauty Xi Shi. After the state of Yue was absorbed into the unification of China, Qin Shi Huang formally codified the boundaries of Zhuji as a county in 222 BC. This status remained intact until 1989, when the State Council reclassified Zhuji as a city. Its modern civic strengths include an excellent educational system and robust economic development, especially in the production of pearls and socks.

• Diplomatic Worker's Day (Russia)

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
