Colombia is located in the South American northwest. The country has an outlet to the waters of Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean.
Climate is equatorial and subequatorial. Air temperature depends on height above sea level, in low areas it is approximately, +29 °С, and at height of 2000 … 3000 meters it’s - +13 … +16 °С. Before the colonization by Spaniards, there lived tribes of Maya and Mochica Indians. Tribes were united in the state and were engaged in crafts, agriculture and mining.
Now Colombia is the agrarian country. The industry is developed poorly and consists of mining and oil branches. Colombia has the first place in coffee export.
In the country there are not many sights. Museum of Gold in Bogota is the only one in the world; the remained unique products from gold which have been made before the Spanish colonization are collected there.
American Indian pyramids and cities can be found in different places all over Colombia.
