Comoro Islands is an island state which is located in northern part of Mozambique Channel. The archipelago consists of four islands called Grande Comore, Anjouan, Mojeli and Mayotte. Climate on islands of the archipelago is tropical. The mid-annual temperature fluctuates from +24 °С to +27 °С.
In 1841 the island have been opened and conquered by the French colonizers. In July, 1975 the island have been declared independent, except the Mayotte Island, which remained a colony of France. Later the islands obtain a name of Federal Islamic Republic Comoro Islands.
It is the agrarian country. Basically agricultural crops are grown up for export.
Near the coast the most ancient fish was found. It was considered disappeared more than 65 million years ago. The basic architectural sights are located in the capital of Comoro Islands, the city of Moroni. They are various mosques and minarets. Almost all constructions are built in Arabian style.
