The Democratic Republic Congo is located in the center of Africa. The republic has an outlet to Atlantic Ocean; the length of a coastal line is 37 kilometers.
Climate in country is subequatorial and equatorial. The mid-annual temperature fluctuates at a mark of +27 °С, in mountains it is colder.
Considering the level of economic development, the Democratic Republic Congo outruns the majority of the countries of the African continent. Here agrarian and mining complexes are especially developed.
By the quantity of deposits of minerals, the Republic Congo is one of the richest in the world. Here there are deposits of copper, zinc, diamonds, cobalt, gold and other minerals.
About 15 % of the territory declared reserves or national parks. They are Virunga, Upemba, Garamba, Northern and Southern Solonge and others. You can meet small wood giraffes called okapi only in these reserves.
