Croatia is located in the southeastern part of Europe near the Adriatic Sea.
It is the republic; the head of the state is the president. The parliament consisted of two houses is a legislative organ.
In the eastern and central parts of Croatia average temperature of July is +22 °С and in winter its about 0 °С. Near the Adriatic coast and islands it’s + 24 °С … + 26 °С in the summer and +5 °С … 9 °С in winter.
In Croatia there are several national parks such as Brionia, Mleet, Krka park and Plitvice.
Croatia is industrial and agrarian country in which the agriculture, mechanical engineering, the oil refining and wood industry are developed.
Over 100 temples and churches from ancient times, the Cathedral in Shibenick, a chapel in Trogire, Monumental palace of Dioklecians(IV century) and the Roman Amphitheater are located in Croatia. The Gates of Hercules and the Coliseum are monuments of architecture of Ancient Rome in the Pool. The national park “Plitvic lakes” has 16 lakes which are connected by 92 various waterfalls.
The island of Korchula and island Mleet(with its salty lakes) amaze with its beautiful nature.

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
