Egypt is located in Africa’s northeastern part. It occupies the Sinai Peninsula and some islands in the Gulf of Suez. Climate is continental subtropical. In summer it’s very hot and arid in Egypt and in winter it’s warm with the small amount of deposits. The average temperature of January fluctuates from +12 °С to +16 °С, and in July from +26 °С to +34 °С. In mountains of Sinai snow is rare event.
Egypt is unitary republic in which the head is the president. Egypt is a member of the United Nations and the League of the Arabian countries. The country is divided into 26 administrative areas called muhafazats.
Egypt is well developed agrarian-industrial country. People cultivate such cultures as rice, corn, wheat, sugarcane and cotton. They basically breed large horned livestock, goats, sheep and camels. The lands of Egypt are rich with minerals like mineral white, oil and iron ore. The main sights of Egypt are well-known pyramids and sphinx.
Cairo is a city of hundreds architectural monuments and museums. Here is situated the Salladin’s Citadel, the minarets of Mohammed Ali’s mosque and a mosque of Sultan Kalaun. Huge aqueduct goes from Nile to the Citadel.
Also there is a set of the first class resorts which are located on the coast of the Mediterranean and Red seas.
