This state is located in central and west parts of Transcaucasia. Black Sea washes the country from its western part. Caucasian ridge goes lengthwise the northern border.
The head of state is president.
Average temperature is from +3 °С in Colhida and about -2 °С in other districts. Summer is specified with the hot weather +23 °С…+26 °С.
Georgia is industrial country. Main sectors are machine industry, ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy, light and food industries.
Georgia is famous for it’s Melegi, Borjomi, Tshaltubo thermal springs. This country is one of the first centers of cultural viticulture. Georgian wine sorts Hvanchkara and Mukuzani have special popularity. Besides practically in every house people make tasty home wines.
Many historical monuments are concentrated in Georgian capital. St. David’s Sion Cathedral, dedicated to the Repose of the Virgin, Metehi Temple, Ateshghi Temple’s ruins. Unique Museum of Crutches and Sticks is situated on Tshaltubo territory. Nabelgavi, Sairame, Java, Gudauri spa and mountain resorts are very popular. Other popular resorts are called New Aphon, Ord, Green bay, Gagra recreation areas.
