Germany is located in Central Europe. It is washed by Baltic and North Seas. Germany is republic; the head of state is president. The head of government is federal chancellor.
The territory is rich of iron ore, coil, copper, nickel.
Average temperature is around +9 °С. The center of country is characterized with cold winter and warm summer and north part is different in weather because of the sea influence. The largest lake is Boden which is also located partly in Austria and Switzerland.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the most famous downhill skiing resort. Resorts of Baden-Baden, Ashen, Visbaden are also popular.

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
