It is one of the most ancient states. It is situated in south Europe, on Balkans and on Crete, Rhodes, Lesbos and Evbea islands.
Greece is a republic; the head of state is president. The single-chamber parliament is a legislative organ. It is industrial and agrarian country with developed machine industry, wood-working, light and food industries. Climate is conditioned by the Mediterranean Sea which is nearby. Touristic season lasts from May till October. Crete, Rhodes, Corfu, Halkidiki and Athens are island resorts. Here you can visit historic places and see many architectural monuments.
The main places of interest are Artemis Orphis Temple in Sparta, Thermos Temple in Etolia, Greece islands, Mycenae Fortress, built by legendary Perseus, Olympia, other temples with their own amazing history, acropolis, Peloponnesus. Many antique places can leave wonderful impressions.
The tradition and culture in Greece are interesting and unusual. For example, you don’t make appointments after dinner and don’t give place to old women, because they can feel insulted.
