Grenada is the island state. The state structure includes Grenada Island and some islands which are part of the Southern Grenadines archipelago.
Climate is marine subequatorial. The mid-annual temperature is +28 °С.
Grenada became the independent state since February, 1974. Now it is a part of British Commonwealth.
Because of the volcanic origin of the islands the nature of islands is diversified. Grenada’s coast is covered by damp tropical woods. There are valuable breeds of trees, jaguars, porcupines and some breeds of monkeys there.
Grenada is called the «island of spices» because of the leading position in nutmeg and cinnamon production.
The basic tourist centers and large hotels are situated to the south of the city of Saint Georges, close to the Grand Anse Gulf.
Saint Georges is a capital of Grenada. Being very picturesque city, it is considered the most beautiful place in all the Caribbean region. The architecture of a city concerns Creole style of 19 century.
