The state of Guinea is located in the Western Africa at the coast of Atlantic Ocean. Climate is equatorial. The mid-annual temperature fluctuates at a mark of + 28 °С.
Before the colonization the territory of the present Guinea was a part of such empires as Ghana and Mali. In 1892 the colony of French Guinea was created here. Guinea has received independence in 1958.
Guinea is the unitary republic with the territory divided into 8 provinces. The head of the country is the president, but the power actually belongs to militaries.
Guinea has the largest deposits of bauxite; therefore the mining industry is developed. The agriculture is also developed. About 80 percent of population is engaged in it.
The main sights of Guinea are the picturesque landscapes and various exotic animals and plants.
It is possible to consider ancient fortresses, churches and mosques which have been constructed during colonization architectural and historical monuments.
