Tegucigalpa (IPA: [teɰusiˈɰalpa]) (Tegus for short) is the capital city of Honduras (together with Comayagüela) and is also the country's largest city. The name is derived from the Nahuatl word "Teguz-galpa", which means "silver hills". Tegucigalpa is also the capital of Honduras's Francisco Morazán department and is the focal point of most business in Honduras.
