The state is located in south-west Asia, on the Mediterranean Sea coast. Through the whole country flows the Jordan River and also here is situated the part of Dead Sea. The head of state is president.
Average temperature in January is +6 °С…+18 °С, in July its +24 °С…+30 °С. It is developed industrial and agrarian country. The base sectors of economy are metalworking, machine industry, light, chemical and diamond industries. Jerusalem is a holy city. The place of Christ’s sepulture, the Wailing Place of the Jews and Muslim sacred place the Dome of the Rock, Distressful Path of Christ are located here.
One of the most ancient cities in the world is Jaffa, where, according to Bible, the Noah’s ark was built. Mount Carmel is known as a home of Saint Elias. Other important cities are Bethlehem, Jericho and Nazareth. There are many places of interest here. For example the Dead Sea is unique place.
Main resort areas are Netania, Tell Aviv, Haifa, Herzlya.
Downhill skating fans will certainly visit Hermon, the highest mountain in country. On the mount there is Israeli coldest place called Golanam.
