Ameno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 100 km northeast of Turin and about 40 km northwest of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 906 and an area of 10.0 km². Ameno borders the following municipalities: Armeno, Bolzano Novarese, Colazza, Invorio, Miasino, and Orta San Giulio. In Ameno every June there is a blues festival: http://www.amenoblues. In the festival site you can find maps for arrive in Ameno and photos. The word Ameno in Italian mean healthy place, because the village is on the top of a hill surrounded by mountains, lake and wild bush. In Ameno is full of ancient houses and castles because many noble families of Torino and Milano stay in Ameno in the summer.

From July, 6 till July, 14th in Pamplona is celebrated a holiday, devoted to St. Fermin, bishop living in ХIII century, who rescued Pamplona from plague epidemic. Being first purely religious, later the holiday has turned in colourful national celebrations.
