The Maldivian republic is located in the Southern Asia, on Maldive Islands in the Indian Ocean to the southwest from Sri Lanka.
The head of the state and the government is the president.
The mid-annual temperature is about +24 °С … +30 °С. From May till October it rains all over the country. In view of absence of the rivers and lakes on islands, the population of the country has a lack of fresh water.
The main branches of economy are fishery and agriculture. Also foreign tourism is perfectly developed here.
Maldives are known for the resorts which are surrounded by the sea and coral beaches. Fine conditions are made for diving including the surprising underwater world and beautiful nature. Atoll resorts have unique coral beaches.
The country hasn’t many sights but here it is possible to visit the National Museum in Sultan’s park, park Dzhumuri-Maidan and also to look at an old Mosque of Friday.
Kurumba is one the nudism centers of the country.
Sea parks are known for the caves and underwater relieves. The sea parks are Kanduma Tila, Embudu Kaudu, etc.
Helicopter walks, safaris, trips on boats with glass bottoms are very popular.
