The state of Mali is located in the Western Africa and has no outlet to any seas. Climate is tropical and subequatorial. The mid-annual temperature fluctuates at a mark of +20 °С. In the Middle Ages on this territory there were states of Ghana, Mali, Songai and others. In 1890 this territory was conquered by the French colonizers and began to be called the French Sudan. Now Mali is a presidential republic. The republic is divided into 7 areas and one special administrative formation of Bamako. The republic Mali is the agrarian country. The population is mostly engaged in farming and fishing. The basic export good of republic is cotton. The industry is developed only in the field of processing the agricultural production. Also the extraction of diamonds, phosphates and gold is developed. The national Museum located in a city of Bamako is the best of all ethnographic museums of Africa.
