Pátzcuaro, which means "place of stones" in the Purepecha language, is a city and its surrounding municipality in the central part of the Mexican state of Michoacán. It is located at 19°51′N 101°61′W, about an hour drive between Morelia and Uruapan and 20 minutes drive to the artists' town of Erongaricuaro.
