“Valle de Bravo” is a county of Mexico State also known as “Temascaltepec”. This is a náhuatl name that means “Steam shower Mountain”. Since its foundation this county has had many names such as “San Francisco del Valle de Temascaltepec”, but there was another county called “Real de Minas de Temascaltepec” therefore it was decided to call that county “El Valle”. The Valle de Bravo territory is located at the west part of Mexico State. Its Geographical coordinates are: minimum longitude 90º 57’ 34’’ and 100º 15’ 54’’ and minimum latitude 19º 04’ 37’’ and 19º 17’ 28’’. This county belongs to the 7th Region of Mexico State. The counties Donato Guerra, Ixtapan del Oro, Santo Tomás de los Plátanos, Otzoloapan y Zacazonapan also belong to this Region. Valle de Bravo’s weather is mild- humid. It rains during summer: it starts in June and ends in September. The warmest months are: May, June, July and August. The average temperature is 17.5 ºC (63.50 ºF). The minimum temperature is 1.3ºC (34.34ºF) and the maximum is 32ºC (89.60ºF).
