The republic of Moldova is the state in the southeast of Europe.
The head of the state is the president. Kodru is the most sublime part of the capital city but basically Moldova is undulated plain.
Climate here is soft. Average temperature of January is - 4 °С, in July its near + 20 °С.
It is industrial and agrarian country. Mechanical engineering, metallurgy, wine-growing are especially developed. This is favorable place for grapes cultivation.
The autumn is a time of harvesting in Moldova and it is considered the best time for country visiting. Wine tours are especially popular among tourists. Krikov is an underground city where streets are named by the sorts of grapes.
In the city of Kagula thermal, mineral sources and also mud baths are available.
The remarkable sights are the Cathedral Square, Pushkin's monument (1885) and Pushkin's house-museum, church of the Assumption of the Virgin, the city of Orhej-Vechi, Hermitage in Butushen. In Kishinev it is possible to have a rest on artificial lake; here there is a parachute club and the Open-air theatre.
