The state of Morocco is located in the Northwest of Africa. It is washed by the waters of Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Climate is Mediterranean, winter is warm and damp and summer dry and hot. The average temperature of January is +15°С In July it is +15 °С.
In II century B.C. the tribes of Berbers lived in Morocco. Approximately in 1200 BC there lived colonies of Phoenicians. Nowadays the political system in Morocco is constitutional monarchy. The head of state and commander in chief is the king.
In Morocco the extraction of phosphorites, iron ore, manganese, lead and zinc is developed.
Morocco is the largest manufacturer and the exporter of citruses. In capital ancient architectural monuments have remained. They are Kasba Udaja Fortress, Mulaj Al Mekki Mosque and the remains of Jakuba Al Mansura Mosque with the tower of Hasana.
In the city of Sale there is a Muslim chapel Sidi Abdallah ben-Hassun, known as a place of pilgrimage of Muslims.

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
