Peru is located in the southern part of South American continent. In the western part the country is washed by the Pacific Ocean and along the coast called Costa the mountain chain of the Andes lasts.
Climate in the east of the country is tropical, and in the west it’s mountain tropical. Air temperature is various on all territory of the country and depends on the height above sea level.
Before Spanish colonization here lived tribes of Mochica Indians. They have formed the large state Chimu with the capital in Chan-Chan. The Spanish colonization has led to the erasing of almost all Chimu population and destruction of all their cities and settlements.
Nowadays Peru is an agrarian state. Basically peasants grow up cotton, sugar cane, coffee and cocoa. As for the industry the mining branch is the only developed one.
Peru is the world reserve of the past times. Tribes of Indians Chavan, Chimu, Mochica and Inca have left many architectural and cultural monuments like various pyramids, mausoleums and other cultural constructions.

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
