The republic of Philippines is located in the southeastern part of Asia on the islands of the Philippine and Malayan archipelagoes in the western part of the Pacific Ocean. There are about 7100 islands in the country structure. The head of state is the president.
The mid-annual temperature is +27 °С but in highlands it is near +17 °С. Torrential rains in country territory are usual for the period from May till November.
The country is characterized as seismic active area. Earthquakes here are frequent and also there are about twenty active volcanoes.
Philippines are developed country where the economy basis is made by the export of the agricultural goods and mineral raw materials. People here are engaged in animal industries, fishery, and also cultivation of coffee and cocoa.
In Philippines there is a considerable quantity of museums where it is possible to get acquainted with history and traditions of the country and also with geology and archeology. Lopez's Museum, Santo-Tomas, the National museum, the Museum of art underground, etc.
The only railway station is in the Kalukan-city area.
The main resorts are located on the islands of Katanduanes, Palawan, Bohol and White Beach. Beaches, picturesque places, coral reeves will leave the best impressions from the rest in this country.

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
