Serbia is the state which is located in the central part of Balkan Peninsula and Pannonish Lowlands. This is Central and Southeast European state.
Serbia borders on Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Macedonia.
The head of state is the president.
The average temperature raises to +23 °С … +25 °С in summer. In winter it is a little bit colder. Average temperature falls to +3 °С … +7 °С. Within a year in mountains it rains and snows a lot (near 3000мм of deposits in a year). Period between April and November is the best for country visiting.
Here there is a set of balneal resorts, monasteries, parks, reserves, museums and also beaches which amaze with its beauty and uniqueness.
Walking across Belgrad is a good idea because here it is possible to get acquainted with both western and eastern cultures. In an old part of the city there is an ancient medieval fortress Calemegdan and also muslim tombs, orthodox churches and Turkish baths (XVII century). Also you can visit Gallery of Frescos, a Modern Art Museum, Revolution Museum, Skupshchina building, St. Savva’s temple (XIX) and many other interesting places.
Kopaonik, Brezovitsa, Jahorina are the most popular mounting skiing resorts. In Serbia there are some institutes (“Zlatibor”, “Nishka Banya”, etc.) which specialize on treatment of various diseases.

From July, 6 till July, 14th in Pamplona is celebrated a holiday, devoted to St. Fermin, bishop living in ХIII century, who rescued Pamplona from plague epidemic. Being first purely religious, later the holiday has turned in colourful national celebrations.
