The republic of Singapore is situated in the South East Asia, on the island of Singapore and numerous coastal islands, at a southern part of Malay Peninsula.
The political system is presidential republic. Singapore is the country, the island, and the city.
The mid-annual temperature fluctuates from +26 °С to +30 °С. The periods between October and November and between April and May are considered the seasons of rains.
Singapore is the country with well developed economy. The prevailed branches are radio-electronic, ship-building, aviabuilding, etc. On islands people are engaged in cultivation of tobacco, vegetables, coconut palm trees and also fishery and a sea craft.
There are many sights here like the Impress Place Buikding, Catholic cathedral of Good Sheferd, the National museum on Stemford Road, the set of skyscrapers (Singapore-Lend-Tower) and the Singapore zoo.
In the Dzhurong area there is a Museum of Fish and the park of reptiles. The island Sentosa is one of the cultural-entertaining centers of the country where there is the largest oceanarium in Southeast Asia with the transparent underwater tunnel.
In the country there are many shopping centers, hotels, restaurants.

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
