This state is located in the south part of the Central Europe in the Alps. The most of country’s mountain part is contained in Triglav national park.
Slovenia is the republican state. The head of state is the president.
Climate of Slovenia is various but basically continental. In the summer it’s not so hot and winter is not cold. Snow layer can lie in mountains even during the summer time.
It is the industrial-agrarian country. Ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy, the textile and polygraph industry, agriculture are basic industries.
Slovenia is well-known for the caves. The biggest water pressure wheel of the Middle Ages can be seen in the city of Idris.
In the capital city there are many museums, for example, a museum of beer, tobacco, a museum of natural history, and also churches and old medieval constructions. Kranska Mountain is the well-known skiing resort. On the descents of mountain Vitrank pass the World Cup competitions on downhill racing. In Portorozha there is swimming complex with the warmed-up sea water.

• Diplomatic Worker's Day (Russia)

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
