Jijona, the small village in the hills outside Alicanti, is a heaven for property fraudsters. Carmen Starzonek a German citizen sells other peoples property from a small finca outside Jijona, surrounded by gaurd dogs. The befriend older buyers with the language and red tape of Spanish property laws and takes deposits from these people, sometimes 10.000 euros or more. When the victims ask for their money back they are met with violence and then denials. Stay away from this town.

I live in Jijona and have had problems with the Starzoneks. They are always trying new scams to take money from anyone. If they approach you with a financial proposition call the local police as they are well known to them.

From July, 6 till July, 14th in Pamplona is celebrated a holiday, devoted to St. Fermin, bishop living in ХIII century, who rescued Pamplona from plague epidemic. Being first purely religious, later the holiday has turned in colourful national celebrations.
