Motril is a town and municipality on the Mediterranean coast in the province of Granada, Spain. Motril is the second largest town in the province, with a population of 55,078 as of 2004. It is twinned with the town of Marple in the northwest of England. A large tradition in production of sugar cane has been discontinued in 2006 after hundreds of years of history.

From July, 6 till July, 14th in Pamplona is celebrated a holiday, devoted to St. Fermin, bishop living in ХIII century, who rescued Pamplona from plague epidemic. Being first purely religious, later the holiday has turned in colourful national celebrations.
