The United Arab Emirates are the state which is located in the Western Asia, in the northeast part of Arabian Peninsula. Waters of Persian gulf wash the northern coast of the country. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar.
State system is the federation that consists of 7 princedoms (emirates), each has its own monarchy with the emir at the head.
The mid-annual temperature is near +25 °С … +35 °С. In summer it’s hot here (sometimes the temperature rises up to +50 °С), but it’s a little bit more cool in the winter.
The economy basis is the oil and gas industries. The country population is engaged in livestock industries, oasis agriculture, domestic industries and also pearl extraction.
Dubai is the well-known resort city where the trading festival (January - February) is annually held. Another festival of surprises «Week of Miracles» passes in summer.
All year long at a coast of Persian Gulf lasts a resort season.
Numerous monuments of archeology represent the ancient history of this state. Also here there are a lot of monuments of modern Arabian architecture like the Jumeira mosque, Abu-Dhabi, the palace of the sheikh etc.
The eighth wonder of the world, named «Palm islands» are the largest artificial islands in the world.
The basic resorts are abu-Dhabi, Ajman, Korfakhan, Ras Al Khaim, Shardzha, Fujair.

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
