The Metropole is an imposing Victorian building perched majestically on the crest of a gentle hill- overlooking the popular Cornish village of Padstow. In addition to being one of the counties prettiest fishing villages. Padstow is best known for its seafood- which features- of course- on the hotels Rosetted menu. The village harbor is a working one and it*s always a pleasure to watch the fishing boats return home to unload their catch- much of which is available in the village. A picnic lunch purchased in Padstow can be a veritable feast. There are 50 rooms in total at The Metropole Hotel- with three types of room comprising Premier- Select and Standard. Some rooms command superb views of Padstow Harbor and the bay- and all are equipped with a host of modern facilities to help make your stay a pleasant one. Naturally- dining at The Metropole Hotel is a memorable event; the elegant restaurant offers a delicious selection of cuisine and the menu features many seafood dishes- making use of fresh Padstow fish and other local ingredients. The Met Cafe Bar makes a refined setting for a spot of afternoon tea or a light lunch- and offers superb views of Padstow Harbor- while the two comfortable lounge areas are ideal for a morning coffee or a quiet evening drink. The Metropole Hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool- which is perfect for cooling off during the hot summer months- and the hotels beautiful gardens are a pleasure all year round

The origin of the holiday is in antique times when the Bulgarian lands were occupied by the tribes of the Thracians. Thracians worshipped Dionis, the God of wine and grapevines, more than other gods.
