The Algerian National Democratic Republic is situated in the north of the African continent. In the territory of Algeria there is one fourth part of Sahara desert. The republic has an outlet to Mediterranean Sea in the north.
In the north of Algeria the climate is Mediterranean, and in other territories it is tropical (the mid-annual temperature fluctuates near + 30 °С).
The basis of economy of Algeria is an extraction branch. In the country there are many reserves of oil, iron, manganous, lead ore. Crop farming prevails in agriculture. Farmers grow up grapes, citrus, dates and tobacco for export.
The main sights of Republic Algeria are ancient ruins of Phoenician, Roman and Byzantine cities.
In the capital there are Arabian mosques constructed in 17 century, Dzhami-al-Dzhadid, Sidd Abdarrahman and the Big Mosque. The capital of Algeria is attractive because of the fancy architecture. It is mix of ancient Tuareg, Arabian and Mauritian cultures.

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
