Armenia is located in the southern part of Transcaucasia. It is bordered by Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran. The head of state is president.
Mountain ridges of Small Caucasus cross the whole country. Climate is continental. Average temperature is about +25 °С in summer and about 5 °С in winter. In mountains temperature is lower by 2-3 degrees.
The leading industry sectors are metalworking production and engineering industry. The main places of interest are the great number of old Armenian temples in Yerevan. Also here are located ruins of Roman fortress, the mosque built in XVIII century, Ketcharis cloister, Garni fortress, and also you can see an ancient temple of Mitra, the god of sun.
Main resorts of the country are Ankhavan, Jermuk, Dilijan, Arevik and Arzni spa. Downhill skiing fans can visit Tsakhkadzor resort large skiing complex. It has a stadium, a cafe and restaurants.
Beautiful looks, thermal springs, clean mountain air will leave great impressions from holidays in this country.

This professional holiday was founded by the Decree of the President of Russia № 1279 from October, 31st, 2002 in commemoration of 200-year-old anniversary of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among diplomats also there is a version, that Day of the diplomatic worker is celebrated on February, 10th as this day in 1549 there was earliest mention of the Ambassadorial Order, the first foreign policy department of Russia.
