The Best Western Elkira Resort Motel is true hospitality in the Outback. The family owned residence is reminisant of the homely style service and food of years gone by. The first impression is the mahogany beams and chandeliers, maroon leather couches and leather trimmed reception desk; a warm welcome to all guests. The atmosphere is relaxed with plants and established gardens all about; a lovely contrast to the red desert of Central Australia. The motel is a three star rating and is in the immediate Central Business District, with K-Mart and Coles grocery store just across the road. The Post Office, banks and shopping mall are all a five minute walk and the furthest restaurant 10 minutes away, being next to the Alice Springs Cinemas, where guests are invited in a two for one scheme.

The origin of the holiday is in antique times when the Bulgarian lands were occupied by the tribes of the Thracians. Thracians worshipped Dionis, the God of wine and grapevines, more than other gods.
